Test Lead

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Telecom Tester to join our team and contribute to the testing and quality assurance of telecom-related applications, products, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in telecommunications and a basic understanding of testing principles, with a willingness to learn and grow in the domain. You will work closely with senior testers to learn and apply testing methodologies, execute test cases, and identify and report defects.

Key Responsibilities:
Test Execution:
oExecute functional, integration, and regression tests on telecom systems and applications based on established test plans.
oPerform manual and automated testing of telecom products on various network architecture involving, VoIP, 5G, LTE, etc.
Requirement Analysis:
oUnderstand business and technical requirements for telecom projects.
oCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, test data and scripts.
Bug Identification and Reporting:
oIdentify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
oCollaborate with development teams to resolve identified issues.
Environment Setup:
oConfigure and maintain telecom-testing environments (e.g., simulators, network setups, or testbeds).
oUse testing tools and software relevant to telecom protocols.
Performance and Stress Testing:
oConduct performance and stress testing to ensure system reliability under various conditions.
Collaboration:
oWork closely with development, QA, operations teams, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
Learning and Development
oActively learn and apply testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
oStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required Skills:
Basic understanding of telecom concepts (e.g., GSM, CDMA, VoLTE, 5G, etc.).
Familiarity with testing tools like Wireshark, JIRA, Selenium, or Postman (basic level).
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, Shell scripting, or Java is a plus).
Strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to document findings and prepare reports effectively.
Eagerness to learn and accept feedback



Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
Certification in testing (e.g., ISTQB) or telecom-specific technologies (a plus).
Prior experience (internship or entry-level role) in testing or telecom domains is advantageous.
