Opening of Quality Surveyor/Billing Engineer For Jhagadiya - Gujarat

We have an urgent opening at Jhagadiya -GUJARAT region for Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer for below requirement.

Quantity Surveyor: Civil (1 Position), Mechanical (1 Position) & Electrical (1 Position)

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Industry: Chemical Plants, Fertilizer Plants, Pharmaceutical Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Petrochemical Plants.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Hands on Experience in Quantity Surveying of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Works (E&I) with understanding of the interface of associated Instrumentation / Automation Works particularly with Piping, Pipeline, Structural Erection, Electrical Equipment Erection and Commissioning.
• Interpretation of Contractual Clauses and thorough understanding of related Scope of Works
• Candidate shall be responsible for maintaining/close tracking of Purchase Orders, BOQs, Drawings, Invoice Logs, Subcontracts Management, Equipment Erection, Testing & Commissioning Works.
• Thorough understanding of all General Layout Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Laying Works and some knowledge of associated SCADA Control, Intelligent System works Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, Approved for Construction Drawings, As- Built Drawings.
• Measurement and arriving at Taking Off Quantities.
• Change Orders management.
• Estimation of Additional Construction Works/equipment supplies.
• Prepare Variations in Final Quantities of Works executed.
• Verification & Certification of Bills/Monthly Progress Invoicing of contractors/vendors for timely payment.
• Maintain all supporting documents records for Variations and all Extra Claims with a Log Sheet while working in close relationship with all Site Department Heads and Document Controllers.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice raising and keep track of all payment realizations.
• Liaison with Works Contractors, Equipment Manufacturers and Installation Subcontractors.
• The Quantity Surveyor will also work closely with all Projects, Planning, Proposal and Contracts Management team.
• Raise alarm in case of any kind of deviation noticed.
• Perform any other duties as required in line with the skills experience and role.

Essential Qualifications:

• BE / B Tech having hands-on experience in MS Office specifically in MS Excel, ERP, Project Management and other related software packages.
• A post graduate Diploma from NICMAR and or RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) shall be an added advantage.
• Thorough understanding of EPC Contracts.
• Attention to detail and excellent diagnostic skills in Quantity Execution vis a vis Contract Interpretation.
• Strong leadership abilities and good time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and management skills.

d) International Cost Measurement Standards (ICMS)

e) Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works 7th Edition (SMM7)
