To perform in process and final Inspection & testing of stator, rotor and generator, maintain Quality & Process Improvement System and culture in the Manufacturing Unit for generator.
Your Role:
In-depth knowledge about the Generator manufacturing process, assembly process and quality requirements.
Hands on experience in usage of different electrical testing instruments like insulation resistance test kit and AC/DC High Voltage kits etc..
Ensure all product requirements are met from receipt to dispatch
Raise flag for any non-conformance/process deviations
Hands on experience on QM Module of SAP
Well convergent with manufacturing process like Machining & Assembly of Steam Turbine Components
Create awareness among team to raise stop work/Quality Concern on small deviations
Review and approve all quality documents and compile as a EOMR package to external customer
Well convergent with component and assembly drawings
Ready to work in all three shifts
Responsible for product testing, NCR handling & helping in root cause analysis.
Generator product manufacturing quality control in generator stator and rotor assembly.
Perform required electrical tests and inspections in compliance with international, national regulations, the relevant GE and customers quality requirements as specified in specifications, standards, procedures, and contract.
Perform & ensure the relevant quality control inspections and tests are planned and executed and appropriately recorded.
Ensure use of calibrated testing equipment while testing and coordinate with OM.
Visual inspection, dimension, and constructional checks of complete assembly.
Inspection check at incoming stage for various electrical item/sub assembly.
Performs Routine & Type tests of generator
Preform Electrical tests like: Insulation resistance test, AC & DC High Voltage test, Tan Delta, Partial Discharge, Stator Core High Induction tests, RSO, impedance, RTD checking and inspections of Generator products in compliance international and national regulations.
DIRIS inspection of core flux and wedge assessment
Ensure test equipment, process and personnel are capable
Release goods and services for next process steps
Establish and maintain accurate records of tests and inspections
Support Corrective and Preventive Actions and the experience response, where required
Brings Best Practices in place.Should be able to conduct/participate in Process Audit/Internal Audit
Active participation in FMEA meetings and ensure all relevant risks are identified and mitigated before execution of process
Review and understand the quality requirements of each product and identify the special instrument requirement in advance
Drive Continuous Improvement activities of Generator Shop
Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3-5 Years of Experience
Well convergent with SAP/MTA/Microsoft Office tools
knowledge and experience in the required competence level in relevant disciplines in Electrical Testing (HV, Performance test of Rotating Machines)
