General Summary:

The PR Manager will spearhead the public relations and communications strategy for Qualcomm and Snapdragon brands in India. This role is essential for maintaining a strong public image and building brand equity through media relations, thought leadership, and strategic communications. The individual will be responsible for executing PR campaigns that support business goals, enhance brand reputation, and engage with key media and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PR Strategy Execution:

- Support the development and execute a robust PR strategy for Qualcomm and Snapdragon in alignment with regional and global business objectives.

- Identify key media opportunities to position Qualcomm and Snapdragon as leaders in 5G, AI, IoT, automotive, compute and mobile computing in India.

- Develop and manage narratives that communicate Qualcomms technological leadership and contributions to Indias digital transformation.

2. Media Relations:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier national and regional media, including technology, business, and consumer press.

- Act as a media spokesperson for Qualcomm and Snapdragon, providing timely and accurate responses to media inquiries.

- Secure consistent, high-quality media coverage through proactive and reactive outreach.

3. Thought Leadership:

- Support the creation of thought leadership platforms for Qualcomm executives, including media interviews, byline articles, and keynote speeches.

- Help position Qualcomm as a thought leader on 5G, AI, XR, and IoT through strategic content creation and media engagement.

4. Crisis Communications:

- Assist in developing and executing crisis communication strategies to manage reputational risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and regulatory departments, to ensure coordinated messaging.

5. Campaign Management & Events:

- Lead PR campaigns for product launches, technology demonstrations, and industry collaborations for Snapdragon-powered devices and solutions.

- Organize and execute press conferences, media briefings, influencer events, and other PR-related activities to drive brand awareness.

6. Agency Management:

- Work closely with external PR agencies to ensure alignment with business goals, effective communication, and measurable results.

- Manage the performance of agencies to deliver strong media outcomes, staying within budget and timelines.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with industry associations, government bodies, and ecosystem partners to support Qualcomms leadership in Indias technology landscape.

- Engage with influencers, analysts, and thought leaders to build positive brand sentiment and advocacy.

8. Monitoring & Reporting:

- Track media coverage and measure the success of PR initiatives through regular analysis and reporting to leadership.

- Conduct media sentiment analysis to refine messaging and improve media engagement strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in public relations, ideally with a focus on technology brands.

- Proven ability to manage high-profile PR campaigns and product launches.

- Strong media relationships across technology, business, and consumer press in India.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience managing crisis communications and coordinating with legal/regulatory teams.

- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and lead through influence.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in the semiconductor, mobile technology, or telecommunications sectors.

- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 5G, AI, and IoT.

- Previous experience working in a multinational organization is a plus.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Masters = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
