We are looking for senior software/data warehouse engineer who can balance technology skills with financial domain knowledge and good communication skills. The right candidate would be able to own their projects from start to finish and interact directly with their business constituents in accounting, asset management, operations or trading. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a large-scale proprietary fintech platform while honing one’s technical skills and learning the private credit business. Ideal candidates will be organized, analytical, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Arena’s CTO/Head of Software Development on the design and development
firm’s data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) systems, ensuring data is integrated, clean,
and structured for effective analysis and reporting.
• Implement and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate diverse data
sources (including trading systems, financial market data, portfolio management platforms, and
external data feeds).
• Develop and manage data pipelines, data models, and reporting frameworks to meet the
growing needs of the business.
• Explore leveraging ML/AI methodologies to innovate data analysis and processing.
• Lead and mentor a team of data developers and analysts, providing technical guidance,
conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Education:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science,
Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Google Professional Data
Engineer, or similar) are a plus.

• 10+ years experience in data development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior
development role focused on data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence.
• Expert in Microsoft SQL Server and related concepts (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Reporting
Server, ETLs, data transformation)
• Experience (even at a classroom level) of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Snowflake, DataBricks,
AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) a plus.
• .Net Technology stack including C#, Entity Framework, MS-SQL, etc
• Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc).
• Familiarity with ML/AI concepts/libraries a plus.
• Experience working in the financial services or investment management industry, with an
understanding of financial data, trading systems, portfolio management, and risk management.
• Comfortable with Agile/Scrum SDLC.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
