OpenShift Engineer (L3 Support)

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage the container platform ecosystem, including installation, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
• Provide L3 support for OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) administration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OpenShift and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Manage cluster capacity and ensure high availability and performance.
• Automate routine tasks like node scaling, log rotation, and updates using Bash .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications hosted on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Integrate and manage storage solutions for OpenShift workloads, such as Ceph, NFS, or external storage systems
• Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in container technologies.

Preferred candidate Profile:

• Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in container technologies like Docker, CRIO, and PODMAN.
• Hands-on experience managing clusters on VMware vSphere and BareMetal environment.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus,Grafana and Zabbix
• Knowledge of NAS, OCS, and Ceph storage solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting OpenShift SDN, load balancers, and service mesh solutions
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
