Oracle Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems within a clustered environment, ensuring optimal performance and high availability.
• Perform Oracle software and database version upgrades, applying patches and adjusting accommodate changes in technology and business requirements.
• Develop and manage robust disaster recovery plans, including regular DR drills to ensure system resilience.
• Implement and oversee data replication processes to ensure data integrity and availability across multiple sites.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix to continuously assess system health and respond to issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Manage database security within a cluster by configuring user accounts, performing authentications, and adhering to best security practices.
• Coordinate and conduct regular system backups, failover testing, and other proactive maintenance tasks to prevent data loss.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to optimize database performance, structure, and functionality to meet business needs.
• Document all database strategies related to clustering, replication, backups, and recovery operations.
• Use IT Service Management (ITSM) tools effectively to track and resolve database-related incidents and requests.
• Stay updated with the latest Oracle database features and technologies, implementing best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with significant experience managing clustered environments.
• Proven expertise in performing Oracle database upgrades, patching, and maintenance tasks.
• Strong background in designing and managing disaster recovery strategies and data replication.
• Proficient with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other Oracle high availability technologies.
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions like Zabbix and ITSM tools for effective incident management.
• Demonstrated ability in SQL and PL/SQL scripting, with a focus on automation and system optimization.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and migrations.
