Accounts Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain books for all accounting transactions
• Handle TDS / GST / PT / PF / vendor payments
• Handle the quarterly / annual statutory filings
• Generate daily business reports
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely payments to various stakeholders
• Process payroll for the team every month and maintain their respective tax payments along with the documentation.
• Prepare / share FORM16 /or FORM16A annually
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns for the firm
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as an Accountant-2 to 3 years
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Tally accounting software is a prerequisite
• Hands-on experience with SaralTDS is desired
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Additional certification is a plus
