Key Responsibilities:
Accurately verify material quantities based on project BOQs, design drawings, and site usage.
Ensure proper reconciliation of quantities reported against actual on-site utilization.
Adhere to cost auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, ensuring project costs are well-managed and compliant.
Identify and analyze discrepancies between reported and actual quantities, highlighting their impact on project budgets and timelines.
Provide recommendations to resolve discrepancies and mitigate budgetary impacts.
Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to gather accurate quantity and cost-related data.
Ensure effective communication between teams to avoid discrepancies in project tracking.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quantity tracking, reporting, and cost control processes to optimize efficiency.
Suggest and implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
Cross-check quantities in project reports against design drawings, BOQs, and purchase orders.
Validate material usage, work progress, and actual quantities consumed on-site to ensure they align with planned figures.
Address and resolve discrepancies in quantity reporting and usage.
Conduct detailed audits of project costs, including material procurement, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
Ensure that all costs are aligned with approved project budgets, contractual terms, and organizational policies.
Verify that project expenditures are in compliance with industry standards.
Review and approve quantity measurement records submitted by site engineers or contractors, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Prepare and present detailed reports on quantity variances, outlining root causes and providing actionable recommendations for corrective action.
Assess the financial impact of quantity deviations on project budgets and timelines, providing insights to prevent cost overruns.
Support project cost control efforts by identifying and recommending potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Assist project managers in maintaining up-to-date cost tracking, schedule management, and resource allocation.
Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring all cost-related aspects of the project are within scope and well-managed.
Participate in project risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks associated with quantity discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred certifications such as RICS, ICWA, PMP, or similar.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cost auditing, quantity surveying, or project management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
Proficiency in cost management software, MS Excel, and project management tools
