About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead our Full Stack development team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, managing team performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will leverage your deep understanding of full-stack technologies and agile methodologies to build and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, mentor, and communicator, with a passion for building innovative and scalable applications.
Responsibilities :
Team Leadership & Management :
- Lead and manage a team of Full Stack engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development. -
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring efficient workflow.
Technical Vision & Strategy :
- Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for the Full Stack team.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure alignment of technical decisions with business objectives.
Software Development & Delivery :
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality Full Stack applications.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Drive continuous improvement in software development processes.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Architecture & Design :
- Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of Full Stack applications.
- Design and implement APIs and microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with other engineering managers to ensure consistency and alignment across teams.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting :
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues and bugs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
Communication & Collaboration :
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, QA, and operations.
- Provide regular updates on project status and team performance.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team.
Technical Skills :
Full Stack Development :
- Deep understanding of front-end and back-end development principles and technologies.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Node.js, React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Experience with API design and development (REST, GraphQL).
Software Development Methodologies :
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of software testing principles and practices.
Architecture & Design :
- Experience with architectural patterns and design principles.
- Understanding of scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
- Experience with system design and architecture.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 9-14 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management role.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
