Position: General Manager Sales ( Primary)
Exp: 15 - 20 years (preferably in the FMCG sector in a Managerial role)
Industry: FMCG
Extensive Travelling : 16 days in a month
Reporting to : Managing Director
Role & responsibilities :-
1) Responsible for primary sales and distribution to the GT channel
2) Continuously strengthening our Route to Market and partnering with our customers to bring our portfolio 24 X 7 into the hands of our consumers faster and with greater efficiency.
3) Playing a vital role in formulating and converting the Company's strategy into excellent execution on sales and distribution to achieve business growth and objectives.
4) Advising management on sales strategies and business development operations.
5) Advising management in Sales Planning & Forecasting.
6) Through understanding the pulse of the market/segment.
7) Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
8) Actively seeking out new sales opportunities.
9) To identify new areas/geography, and opportunities and appoint new customers.
10) Optimization of resource usage by defining better routing solutions to gain access to remote places without compromising the operating cost and the product viability
11) Prepare and communicate appropriate presentations on products / new launches.
12) Preparing customer-wise sales plan with detailed brand pack breakup.
13) Ensure that the customer invests adequately in stock and vehicles as per plan.
14) Customer servicing, management, handling and resolving their concerns/complaints.
15) Ensure timely payment from Customers.
16) In case of payment gets stuck ensure rigorous follow-up.
17) Reduction in stock variability, stock-outs and excess stock carry-out at the customer site.
18) Ensuring all and Focus brand pack availability at the customer point.
19) Enhancing the stock-keeping and stock monitoring capability by implementing the FIFO (first-in-first-out) & FEFO (first-expiry-first-out) principles, defining robust processes and standardizing them across the distribution network.
20) To ensure no near-expiry stock is at the customers point.
21) Monitor Short Shelf-life stock at customer point & arrange to liquidate with the help of the Sales Team.
22) Coordinating with Customers, Tele-Callers, Accounts Receivable, Shipping and Logistics for order generation, credit clearance, payment status, loading and dispatch etc.
23) Glass management.
24) Facilitate the reconciliation of accounts/disputes of customers.
25) Liaising between the customer and the company for up-to-date status of pricing, new product launches, services, implementation of trade schemes, compliances and other company policies & procedures.
26) Gather feedback from customers as regards products, opportunities, competitor moves etc. and share it with the concerned team.
27) Plan cost-efficient dispatch from multi-location dispatch points.
28) Analyzing and tracking daily sales, performing gap analysis concerning targets and taking corrective actions both customer-wise and team-wise.
