Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience

CTC: Rs. 2.25 LPA Rs. 3.50 LPA

Position Objective:

Purdrop Biochem Pvt. Ltd. seeks a skilled Civil Engineer to oversee the establishment of a biodiesel manufacturing plant at the greenfield stage in Shoolagiri, Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The successful candidate will emphasize civil and structural engineering principles to ensure high-quality construction, safety, and adherence to project budgets and timelines.

Summary:

The Civil Engineer will play an integral role in planning, designing, and executing the project, collaborating closely with the project team to guarantee successful completion. This role demands a strong foundation in civil engineering, particularly in structural aspects, with experience in project management and construction.

Reporting Structure:

The Civil Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the project's success.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Surveys and Structural Assessments:

• Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess structural feasibility and ensure safety standards.
• Evaluate soil composition, load-bearing capacities, and environmental factors influencing design and construction.
• Structural Framework for Mechanical Systems: Design to accommodate heavy machinery with adequate load-bearing capacity.
• Structural Integrity Assessment: Regular evaluations of structural components to withstand vibrations and forces.
• Material Selection: Consideration of environmental factors like humidity, chemical exposure, temperature variations.
• Coordination with Mechanical Engineering: Layout Planning, Piping and Structural Supports, Construction and Erection Processes, Installation Oversight, Fabrication and Assembly, Compliance Assurance, Testing and Commissioning, Operational Readiness Validation, and Safety Protocols. Emergency procedures, safety training for operational staff, risk assessment and mitigation.

2. Project Planning and Scheduling:

- Develop detailed project plans and realistic timelines for construction activities.

- Collaborate with the project team to align schedules with project objectives.

3. Engineering Design and Implementation:

- Create detailed engineering plans for the biodiesel plant, focusing on structural integrity and compliance with local building codes and regulations.

- Select appropriate materials and structural systems to accommodate the unique demands of biodiesel production.

4. Contractor Coordination:

- Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring the procurement of necessary materials and services.

- Monitor contractor performance for quality assurance and compliance with project specifications.

5. Construction Monitoring:

- Oversee construction progress, ensuring alignment with project milestones and timelines.

- Regularly inspect sites to ensure adherence to engineering designs and safety regulations.

6. Budget and Cost Control:

- Oversee budget management, ensuring all civil engineering activities stay within allocated funds.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

7. Safety Compliance:

- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and conduct regular inspections to promote a safe working environment.

8. Problem Solving and Adaptation:

- Proactively identify and resolve any construction-related issues to minimize project delays.

- Implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum and efficiency.

9. Documentation and Reporting:

- Compile engineering documentation, including design calculations and as-built drawings.

- Provide regular updates and reports on project status to stakeholders.

10. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

- Foster open communication and effective collaboration with all stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to facilitate smooth project execution.

11. Quality Control and Assurance:

- Implement robust quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.

12. Continuous Learning and Development:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in civil engineering practices, materials, and technologies to enhance project delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering

- 1-3 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering , Hands on experience of Autocad Software.
