Job Description
- Receive Indents from Departments and check each item for quantity, specification, including delivery schedule
- Floating enquiry/request quotation to vendors for RM/PM
- Procurement of RM/PM
- Issuing Purchase Orders for RM/PM
- Co-ordinate with design dept. for artwork and checking the status of artwork
- Forward to supplier follow up for sample
- Follow-up with vendors for timely delivery of goods at site
- Demand forecasting planning for future requirements
- Inventory planning for materials to reduce shortage of materials
- Follow-up and co-ordinate for receipt of material till it reaches factory
- To achieve cost reductions through standardization, variety deductions
- Assisting costing dept. by providing rates
- Preparing comparison sheets
- Follow-up with supplier for incomplete documents
- Co-ordination with inter departments like A/c. - forwarding invoices follow-up for the same, Store - incomplete documentation
- Co-ordination with Vendors for rejected material issues and replacement of same
- Follow-up for vendor questionnaire and Vendor Audit
- Arranging DMF reports from Vendor
- To develop alternate vendors for single sourced product
- Arranging transport for delivery
- Negotiate favorable payments terms and conditions with suppliers
- Processing of bills and tracking of payments with Finance
- Checking stock of the major product and maintain stock
- Control on the inventory of the material
- Issue correct material to required department
- Stock reconciliation
