Senior Qa Manager

Role & responsibilities :

1. Quality Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy aligned with company goals.
• Provide leadership and direction to the quality team, fostering a quality excellence and accountability culture.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, HACCP, FDA, etc.).
• Prepare and oversee internal and external audits, addressing non-conformances effectively.

3. Quality Assurance & Control:

• Establish and maintain quality control processes, procedures, and metrics to monitor and improve product quality.
• Manage testing, inspections, and verification activities to ensure products meet specifications.

4. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality-related issues.

5. Team Development:

• Train, mentor, and develop the quality team to achieve high performance and ensure knowledge of best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote quality awareness and ensure seamless integration of quality initiatives.

6. Supplier Quality Management:

• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring materials and components meet quality requirements.
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality processes, records, and reports.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on quality performance, challenges, and improvement plans.

Work Environment:
This role is based on-site at our production facility, with occasional travel required for audits, supplier visits, and training

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the food production industry.
• Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis.
