Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Modelling Analyst to join our team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling, data analysis, and forecasting. This role involves creating, maintaining, and analyzing financial models to support strategic decision-making, business planning, and performance evaluation.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Modelling:
• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
• Perform sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and what-if simulations.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial models by conducting regular audits and validations.
• Data Analysis:
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.
• Market and Industry Research:
• Gather and analyze market data to benchmark financial performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting financial outcomes.
• Collaboration and Reporting:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and strategy.
• Support the preparation of investment memos, business cases, and board presentations.
• Ad-Hoc Projects:
• Assist in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, funding, or new market entry evaluations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• A professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CA, or MBA in Finance)
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial modelling, analysis, or a similar role.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or related industries is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and financial modelling tools.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and databases (e.g., SAP, SQL).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
