Job Description Summary

PLM Upgrade team in PTC is responsible for timely upgrade of the AWS/Azure hosted Windchill environments to the latest releases as per the defined project cycles. We are looking for a Senior Consultant , who will be the Technical Upgrade Coordinator for the PLM upgrade Projects undertaken by PTC, on PTC hosted Cloud. This role is heavily customer facing and requires excellent customer handling skills and Project management Skills. Additionally, this role is required to have sufficient technical expertise to manage the execution. The role required to work mostly during Europe hours to have overlap with customer time zones. Since the work is project based, the amount of time spent on project tasks on given day, will be flexible and will be based on the phase of the project. During Production Go-live of the Upgrade Projects, this role requires to work on weekends (Frequency - 1 or 2 weekends per quarter) for continuous hours, depending in the complexity of the tasks

Job Description

• End to End Technical Project management of PLM upgrades on PTC Hosted Cloud

• Responsible for Defining the Upgrade Project Scope and Schedule • Accountable for the overall quality of the Upgrade Project Coordinates internally with various departments like R&D, Cloud Infra structure, TS etc to align on specific customer environment needs, required for the smooth execution of the Upgrade rehearsals and Production Cut-over •

• Owns and executes all communications with Customers and internal Stakeholders

• Schedules and conducts weekly Status calls with customer Participate in the Upgrade Rehearsals and contributes with the required technical inputs to ensure that the Upgrade is aligned with PTC cloud standards as well as within the scope •

• Responsible for commissioning new Cloud Hardware and Initiating Decommission of old hardware.

• Owns and Manages all project records in the Project repository, in the Service Management System

• SPOC for all External and Internal Stakeholders of assigned PLM Upgrade Project

Experience:

4-6 years of experience, that includes managing one or more customer facing Technical Projects, preferably involving Production Enterprise Applications, at the capacity as Project manager.

Must have Skills:

Project management Skills

• Excellent Communication ( verbal and written )

• Technically familiar with cloud computing and Hosted applications

• Knowledge about Web Application Architecture

Good to have Skills:

Understanding of PLM upgrade Steps and Processes

• Basic understanding of Linux

• PTC Windchill Administration

• Cloud Computing

• SNOW

Familiar with ITIL methodologies, especially change Management processes

Qualifications

• MBA/BE or any related field
