Manufacturing Engineer - PT. Galaksi Investasi Harapan - Indonesia

Key Responsibilities:

• Tooling & Manufacturing: Design, develop, and optimize molds, jigs, and fixtures for plastic injection molding, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. Oversee fabrication, tooling trials, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance tool longevity.
• Process Optimization & Cost Management: Improve production efficiency by reducing cycle times, implementing automation, and optimizing tooling layouts. Conduct cost estimation for tooling, materials, and production while negotiating with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
• Quality Engineering & Compliance: Establish and enforce quality control measures, including SPC, FMEA, and CAPA, to ensure consistent part quality and compliance with ISO and industry standards. Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and process deviations.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead NPI projects from prototype to mass production, ensuring manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ). Conduct DFMEA/PFMEA risk assessments and oversee first-article inspections (FAI) for production readiness.
• Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow, tooling availability, and supplier performance. Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
• Project Management & Leadership: Manage multiple projects, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth execution of tooling and quality initiatives. Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to align engineering solutions with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, quality engineering, and NPI, preferably in plastic injection molding.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and mold-flow analysis tools.
• Strong expertise in SPC, FMEA, CAPA, Lean, Six Sigma, and cost estimation.
• Hands-on experience with process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and statistical quality control.
• Proven ability to manage tooling projects, vendor negotiations, and cross- functional collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
