We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Product and Development teams to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications. You will be responsible for creating robust automation frameworks, identifying bugs, and ensuring that applications meet the highest quality standards. Objectives of this role
• Automate testing for web, mobile, and API applications to ensure quality standards are met.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts based on user stories and requirements.
• Ensure timely execution of automation test cases and continuous improvement of test coverage.
• Perform system integration testing (SIT) and ensure the reliability of automation tests across different platforms.
Responsibilities
• Write detailed automation test scripts, execute test plans, and log defects using tools like JIRA. • Conduct smoke, regression, and functional tests to validate the performance and functionality of the applications. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues found during testing and ensure timely resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
• Monitor test execution, analyze results, and generate reports on automation. Required skills and qualifications
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web, mobile, and APIs.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Postman or RestAssured for API testing.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Experience in using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab for integrating automated tests.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.
Skills that are good to have, but not mandatory
• API Testing
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Exposure to automation tools such as Robot Framework and Playrwright
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Knowledge of security testing best practices for automation
