Associate, Financial Due Diligence

I. Main purpose of the job and key background information

Key responsibilities are assigned based on an evaluation of the candidates professional qualification, relevant experience, Excel skills, and a demonstrated working knowledge of financial analysis that impacts the business and economic environment.
As an Associate, you will work as part of a team of financial diligence problem solvers in performing data-driven financial and accounting diligence analysis and communicating with Clients on project deliverables. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

II. Responsibilities

• Developing an understanding of the target business and its drivers
  

- Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow up directly with clients and third parties appropriately to achieve necessary understanding and to resolve anomalies
- Performing financial analysis on data provided and arriving at conclusions / identifying issues
- Interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of publicly available information on the target business
- Preparation of quality deliverables (including Excel and PowerPoint documents) within agreed timescales, briefing the Manager accordingly.
- Identifying key issues in the areas worked on and reporting it to the Manager/ supervisor on a timely basis
- Work on a variety of deals ranging from transactions across various industry verticals

-To provide support/assistance for proposals/business development activities

• Work on FDD assignments/Deals which will involve:

- Desk research, macroeconomic research, market sizing and estimation, GTM strategy, creation, company profile creation, competitor benchmarking
- Financial benchmarking
- Value chain analysis
- Interview analysis and survey creation and analysis, Digital due diligence
- Financial Model
- Information Memorandum creation
- Project-specific requirement

-Primary and Secondary research specific to the transactions

• Work with teams and lead teams on assignments and manage communication with all stakeholders.
• Identify and assess risks that can affect project delivery. Proactively highlight them to the key stakeholders
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects or requests
• Understand the business problem and business requirements; break down the problem to create a tailored approach to suit the business needs
• Be responsible for internal initiatives of the Business Unit
• Prepare pitch decks and proposal presentations highlighting project scope, deliverables, and benefits.
• Identify opportunities and actively participate in acquiring business
• Contribute to the development of team members
  
  

III. Requirements: These should include essential & desirable requirements such as:

Education and Awareness

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (3-5 years) experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with research and analysis, building strategy
  
  

IV. Skills

• Excellent communication skills (Oral, Written)
• Must have worked in Agri, Chemical, or industries in a supply chain linked to Agriculture.
• Varied experience in the other sectors is also welcome. Excellent understanding of business drivers
• At least 5+ years of experience in primary and secondary research and analysis, Survey creation and analysis, Digital due diligence,
• Strong presentation skills, Excellent Excel and PPT preparation skills
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively across teams in a high-performance culture and work effectively in a globally dispersed team environment.
