Sr. Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1.CAD Design:

- Develop 3D CAD models from concepts with a focus on UAS and drone designs.

- Create detailed drafting for small parts, sub-assemblies, complete assemblies, and exploded views.

- Design and customize Title Block templates as per project requirements.

- Perform C.G. (Center of Gravity) and Moment of Inertia (M.o.I) calculations for designs.

2.FEA Analysis:

- Conduct static, fatigue, and dynamic simulations using Simulia.

- Occasionally use ANSYS for additional simulations as needed.

3.Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare technical reports, manuals, and daily documentation for designs and analysis.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work progress and analysis results using MS Word.

4.Client Interaction:

- Liaise with foreign and MNC clients, effectively communicating project progress and addressing technical queries.

- Travel to client sites as required, using various modes of transportation.

5.Collaboration:

- Work independently on assigned projects, reporting progress to higher authorities daily.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.

6.Additional Responsibilities:

- Work extra hours, including weekends, to ensure critical deadlines are met.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Freshers, or professionals with 1-3 years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in SolidWorks for CAD.
• Proficient in Simulia (Abaqus experience acceptable but must adapt quickly).
• Knowledge of ANSYS is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of static, fatigue, and dynamic analyses.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and reports.

Certifications

• Mandatory certification in CAD and FEA tools.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with international clients.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Work Environment

- Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM (strictly no WFH).

- Six days a week; 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.

- Must work extra hours and weekends if needed to meet deadlines.

Travel:

- Travel across India to address client requirements as necessary.
