Protiviti - Climate Modeller (8-12 yrs)

A Climate Modeller is responsible for developing, testing, and applying numerical models to simulate the Earth's climate systems. This role involves analysing complex climate data, projecting future climate scenarios, and contributing to research on climate change and its impacts.

Key Responsibilities: Model Development and Testing:

- Develop and refine climate models to simulate atmospheric, oceanic, and terrestrial processes.

- Test and validate models using historical data and experimental observations.

Data Analysis:

- Collect and preprocess climate data from various sources, including satellites, weather stations, and ocean buoys.

- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in climate variables. Scenario Projections:

- Run simulations to project future climate conditions based on different greenhouse gas emission scenarios.

- Interpret model outputs to assess potential impacts on weather patterns, sea levels, ecosystems, and human activities. Conduct research to improve the accuracy and reliability of climate models.
