SAP Development Manager - BTP Module (10-12 yrs)

Position : SAP BTP Development Manager.

Location : Bangalore/Noida.

Role Summary :

Prospecta Software's MDO solution is a SAP Endorsed Application and uses SAP BTP integration suite to integrate with both S/4 HANA and SAP ECC. The SAP BTP Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and management of applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

This role requires hands-on technical expertise as well as leadership capabilities to guide a development team in creating scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that integrate with various SAP and non-SAP systems.

The manager will work closely with business stakeholders, product technical teams, and external partners to ensure that BTP solutions align with business objectives and are delivered within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy and Planning :

- Lead the design and implementation of solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including integration with SAP S/4HANA, MDO and other third-party applications.

- Define and implement SAP BTP development strategies, ensuring alignment with business -goals.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that leverage SAP BTP capabilities (e., SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite).

Team Leadership :

- Manage, mentor, liase and lead a team of developers, architects, and technical consultants.

- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of projects.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing and training to keep the team updated with the latest SAP BTP innovations and development best practices.

Development and Integration :

- Oversee the development of custom applications, extensions, and integrations on SAP BTP using technologies such as SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP Fiori, and SAP UI5.

- Integrate with Data solutions like SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration.

- Maintain a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance when designing and deploying solutions.

Governance and Compliance :

- Establish development and operational standards, best practices, and governance for solutions built on SAP BTP.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, for efficient deployment and management of applications.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring that SAP BTP solutions meet business and Product needs.

- Foster collaboration with other IT teams, including infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams.

- Manage relationships with external vendors and SAP partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Monitoring and Optimization :

- Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of SAP BTP applications and services to ensure uptime, performance, and reliability.

- Continuously evaluate and optimize existing applications for performance improvements and cost efficiency.

Project Management :

- Lead projects from inception through deployment, managing resources, timelines, and budgets.

- Prepare project documentation, status reports, and technical specifications.

Work Environment :

- Hybrid work environment.

- Occasional travel to meet with stakeholders or attend conferences may be required.

Must have Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in ABAP.

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in CPI.

- 8+ years of experience in SAP development with at least 3+ years on SAP BTP.

- Proven experience leading and managing development teams.

- Strong background in SAP Integration Suite, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Fiori/UI5 development.

Technical Skills :

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and other SAP cloud solutions.

- Familiarity with API management, security protocols, and data management on SAP BTP.

- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development.

Soft Skills :

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
