Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
• Tax Compliance:
• Manage Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, including filing returns and maintaining records.
• Oversee Provident Fund (PF) and Professional Tax (PT) contributions and filings.
• Ensure accurate tax calculations and timely submissions to avoid penalties.
• Auditing:
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
• Prepare documentation and schedules required for audits.
• Implement recommendations from audit findings to improve internal controls.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, providing insights on financial performance to management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budget.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, promoting professional development.
• Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
