Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for a full-time Computer science Assistant Professor position.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the departmentacademic mission through high-quality teaching, research, and service.

The role involves developing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and engaging in scholarly activities.

A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
Experience:
Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
A strong record of research and scholarly activity, demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Experience in securing research funding (preferred but not required).
Skills and Abilities:
Expertise in one or more specialized areas of computer science such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and external partners.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance teaching, research, and service responsibilities.

Requirements
Academic Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.

Strong foundation in core computer science areas.

Teaching Skills:

Experience in teaching at undergraduate/graduate levels.

Curriculum development and student mentoring.

Research Skills:

Proven research track record with publications.

Grant writing and research collaboration experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).

Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning).

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
