Job Description

  • We are looking for a Tech Lead Java + AWS Engineer to lead our development team and ensure successful project delivery
  • As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding team members, driving high standards of software quality, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy business applications
  • You will be responsible for handling the technical aspects of the projects while fostering an agile and collaborative work environment

    • Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Guidance:

  • Guide the teams development efforts towards successful project delivery
  • Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications
  • Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Ensure high-quality software standards by establishing best practices and habits

    • Technical Execution:

  • Package and support deployment of releases
  • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application issues promptly
  • Ensure adherence to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time
  • Translate business requirements into detailed application designs
  • Perform full-scale unit testing and apply test-driven (TDD) and behavior-driven (BDD) development principles
  • Promote the use of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts

    • Agile Development:

  • Work effectively in an agile development environment
  • Focus on self-planning activities and ensure responsibilities are executed independently

    • Mandatory Technical Skills:

    Core Technologies:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot
  • Practical experience in relational and non-relational databases
  • AWS Cloud Services (EC2, RDS, MSK, Elastic Cache, ECR, GlueSchema, IAM, Istio, VirtualService, Keyspace, API Gateway)
  • Data streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, WebSockets, Spring Messaging)
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) with lifecycle management tools like Helm

    • Other Essential Skills:

  • Experience with Java Full Stack-based microservices design and development
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related system development tools
  • Experience with Database tools (JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data)
  • Familiarity with Modern SDLC tooling (Maven, Git)
  • Cloud computing knowledge for scalability and elasticity in a microservice architecture

    • Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Cloud technologies such as RabbitMQ, gRPC, Kinesis, Cloudera, MQTT
  • Front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular

    • Experience Requirements:

    Mandatory:

  • Java: Expert (8/10)
  • Spring Boot, Microservices in Cloud Environment: Expert (8/10)
  • Data streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, WSS, Spring Messaging): Expert (7/10) in any of these
  • AWS Cloud Services for Application Dataflow: Expert (7/10) in services like EC2, RDS, MSK, etc Database tools: Intermediate (5/10)
  • Modern SDLC Tooling (Maven, Git, NPM): Intermediate (5/10)
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker): Intermediate (5/10)

    • Nice to Have:

  • Data streaming technologies (MQTT, RabbitMQ, gRPC, Kinesis, Cloudera): Expert (5/10) in any
  • Front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular): Good to have

    • Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Focus on self-planning activities and time management
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to ensure high-quality deliverables by collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
