Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer to join our team for a Data Warehousing project in the finance domain . The role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data while helping to build a robust Data Warehouse leveraging Data Vault 2.0 methodology. The ideal candidate will have experience in data quality assurance , ETL processes , and data modeling tools .
Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality Assurance
Develop and implement data quality processes to ensure accurate and consistent data. Perform data profiling and validation to identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies.
Data Warehouse Development
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements in the finance domain. Support the development and testing of Data Vault 2.0 -based models.
ETL Process Validation
Test and validate ETL processes using tools like WhereScape RED , ensuring data integrity during extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Validate and automate data transformations and pipelines for accuracy.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with data modelers, ETL developers, and business analysts to align on data requirements. Document data quality issues, test cases, and resolutions comprehensively.
Automation & Tool Utilization
Explore opportunities to automate data quality checks and validations. Implement ETL Test Automation tools like QuerySurge , BiG EVAL , etc., for continuous improvement. Analyze recurring data issues and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with best practices in data quality engineering and apply them to the project.
Required Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems , Statistics , or a related field.
Experience
6+ years of experience in data analysis or data warehousing . Experience with finance domain data requirements and structures. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with ETL Test Automation Tools like QuerySurge , BiG EVAL , etc. Experience with data warehousing tools like Snowflake , MS Fabric , etc. Familiarity with ETL tools such as WhereScape , Informatica , Talend , or Alteryx . Familiarity with Data Vault 2.0 methodology is highly desirable. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau , Power BI , Looker ).
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data & analytics products. Understanding of data governance , security , and compliance best practices . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills . Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
