Job Description
- Completely responsible for the job from the receipt of the manuscript till the online/print publication
- Oversee of login in/copyeditors (freelance and internal) typesetting, proofing and Proof Collation
- Monitoring and entering of schedule dates into the customer CMS
- Continuous communication with all stake holders like Publisher/Editor/Author and the in-house composition team
- Issue compilation using customer CMS and providing line-up/issue pagination sheet to the production team
- Validating issue corrections and seeking approval from Editors
- Monitoring and reporting periodically to the Publishers/Editors regarding the progress of the Books handled
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multitask and follow up; ability to work under pressure; willingness to work overtime.
- Strong production experience (2-4years minimum) in Books but can be in higher-education; editorial eye for detail and consistency.
- Monitoring and reporting of SLAs
- Communication with the customer both written as well as proactive conference calls.
- Process Migration
- Managing customer Feedback
- Cultivate customer relationships (primary contact, laterally and above)
- Ensure timely invoicing to customer.
- Ensure that the services offered are within the agreed scope(Scope creep should not take place)
- Work in close coordination with the operations manager for achievement of client SLAs’
