Job Description

Team: Rural Livelihood Program
Role purpose:The Rural Livelihood Project in Meghalaya is executed in partnership with the stategovernment, and you will work with the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS)
The Program Lead will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and managingprogram activities related to rural livelihoods PAN India
This includes designing andimplementing livelihood programs, conducting research and analysis, building partnerships,and providing training and support to program participants
The role also involvesidentifying geographical areas for expanding the scope of the project and ensuring itssustainability
You will be responsible for creating monitoring and evaluation systems to helptrack program outcomes
Government liaison and stakeholder management will be crucialparts of the role

KeyResponsibilities

Deliverable OutcomesProjectDevelopment Oversee and evaluate the landscape of livelihood opportunitiesavailable to individuals with disabilities

Building and consolidating a replicable and sustainable modelfor rural livelihood
Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation system Establish measurable goals for the project, closely monitorprogress, address setbacks, and evaluate overall performance,supporting action research and iterations to refine and scale theprogram as necessary
Develop strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing project visibilityand raising awareness

Build organisational network through targeted outreach andstrong planning Develop financial, market, and government linkages whileenabling convergence of state initiatives such as social security,livelihood promotion, financial inclusion, and socialempowerment for project success and long-term sustainability
ProjectManagement Liaison with government officials and stakeholders to facilitateinitiatives for people with disabilities, building strong relationshipsto ensure timely budget flows, and successful adoption ofproject strategies
Develop comprehensive project plans, including goals,objectives, timelines, and budget requirements, aligned with theorganization's mission and strategic objectives
Formulate strategies and action plans to address the identifiedchallenges and promote inclusive livelihood practices
Lead the effective implementation of project activities, ensuringadherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetaryconstraints
Implement Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems to generatetimely and accurate information
Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support,and mentorship to ensure efficient project implementation Support in the implementation of action research and iterationsof project strategies to refine and scale the program asnecessary

Person specification

Qualification: Post Graduate in Rural Development &/or related fieldPrior Experience: Must have complete knowledge of NRLM functioning Must have managed a team of at least 3-8 team members Must have experience in rural development initiatives Must have experience developing & implementingMonitoring & Evaluation systemsEssential skills: Strong writing skills In-depth knowledge of Ms

Office and strong onlineresearch skills Knowledge in the special needs sector Strong oral and written communication in English Observation and Monitoring skillsEssentialattributes: Collaborative, team-focused, and willing to use skills tosupport others work Highly organized and capable of planning, managing, andexecuting initiatives from start to finish Ability to work independently and with digital tools, prioritizetasks, work under tight timeframes, and meet deadlines Ability to write and articulate/communicate complex ideas insimple, understandable terms Humility, willingness to consider others perspectives Commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusionOtherSpecification Must have a passion and charisma to train and travel acrossrural and urban places in India
