Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Hands-on with the sector/module content and learning outcomes

Develop Placement Strategies for systemic change: Collaborate with internal program implementation teams to develop effective systemic change-centered placement strategies for ITIs and VTIs in Karnataka, ensuring maximum industry engagement and job opportunities for trainees.

Capacity Building: Build the capacity of placement officers of program implementation partners to plan and organize placement-related activities at their institutes.

Industry Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with industries and employers in Karnataka. Actively engage with them to understand their skill requirements, analyze larger placement trends, and accordingly create employment opportunities for trainees.
Placement Planning: Develop comprehensive placement plans with program implementation teams and training partners. Identify target industries and job roles, and devise strategies to match trainees with suitable employment opportunities.
Job Placement Support: Provide assistance and support to trainees during the job placement process. This may include resume building, interview preparation, and networking opportunities to enhance their chances of securing suitable employment.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of placement initiatives by tracking trainee placements, job retention rates, and employer feedback. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.

Relationship management- students and internal team

Building an active working relationship with representatives of companies, Industry bodies, and Placement officers.
Network with employers and industry bodies to build a robust database of employers and make it available to program implementation partners.

Team Management

You may have to manage the programs facilitators/interns/Program associates as relevant.
Ensure necessary capacity-building activities are planned for the team to work effectively and to grow professionally.
Ensure your team members have defined annual and quarterly goals, which are reviewed monthly/quarterly.

Serve as a role model at all times

Ensure human resource policy and procedure are adhered to by the team
Ensure their welfare with support from the People team

Requirements

Skills Required:

Atleast 2-3 years of relevant experience preferably in youth employability space.
Knowledge of liasioning and working with multi stakeholders and partnership management.
Able to manage and work with teams from across different geographies.
Good computer skills
Must be able to work to meet the needs and targets of the program.

Attributes

Must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the program.
Willing to undertake external visits & should be open to traveling across the country
Must be a team player and be able to negotiate and consult with all those engaged internally and externally on green initiatives.

Benefits

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 30,000/- per month (cost to company) ( The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
