Production Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing production operations for allocated customer accounts, focusing on customer satisfaction, production efficiency improvements, and quality sustenance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely communication and addressing customer requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet customer expectations related to product quality, delivery timelines, and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster long-term partnerships.

Production Supervision

• Oversee daily production activities for allocated customer accounts, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent output.
• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve departmental goals.

Efficiency Improvements

• Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices, automation, or other techniques to optimize production workflows.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

Quality Sustenance

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications for all products.
• Investigate and address quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain certifications and audits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in the automobile or white goods industry.

• Technical Knowledge:
• Understanding of powder metallurgy processes, sintered parts, and related manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other efficiency improvement methodologies.

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
