VisionPLUS Application Administrator - Configuration Management (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a VisionPLUS Application Administrator to join our team on a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the configuration, performance, and overall administration of the VisionPLUS application to ensure its stability, efficiency, and smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Configuration :

- Configure, maintain, and optimize the VisionPLUS application to meet business requirements, including system settings, workflows, and user permissions.

Performance Monitoring :

- Monitor the performance of the VisionPLUS application and ensure that it is running optimally.

- Perform troubleshooting and resolution of performance issues.

System Maintenance :

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as applying patches, upgrades, and hotfixes, to ensure the VisionPLUS system is up to date and secure.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution :

- Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues in a timely manner, working closely with other teams to address technical concerns.

Capacity Planning and Resource Management :

- Assess system capacity and resource utilization to ensure that the application runs efficiently.

- Plan and execute system resource upgrades when necessary.

Backup and Recovery :

- Ensure that appropriate backup procedures are in place, and perform regular backup and recovery tasks to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.

Documentation :

- Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the application meets business needs and runs without disruptions.

Support and Training :

- Provide technical support to end-users, assist with training, and ensure that the team is familiar with the system's configurations and functionalities.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- 4 - 6 years of experience in administering VisionPLUS applications or similar financial systems.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of VisionPLUS application configuration and administration.

- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting for VisionPLUS.

- Familiarity with mainframe environments and operating systems (e., Linux, Unix, AIX, or z/OS).

- Knowledge of databases (e., DB2, Oracle) and backup/recovery methodologies.

Problem-Solving :

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system

issues quickly.

Team Collaboration :

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical teams.

Education :

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with VisionPLUS upgrades and patch management.

- Knowledge of financial services or banking systems.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies or experience working in Agile teams.
