Scientist - Fermentation

Candidate will have to work in rotational shift

Role & responsibilities

Execution & control of

• Planned process activities for fermentation including lab inoculation, seed fermentation till production fermentation
• CIP & SIP processes for all fermenters
• Maintenance and breakdown activities for all fermenters
• Raw materials indenting
• Complete process execution.

1. All process sampling for online/offline fermenter process, analysis & monitoring of process parameters by quality check procedures, results and data entry in standard batch sheet format.
2. Experience in molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid extraction, Gene cloning, Primer designing & PCR), Gene knockout and expression in bacterial system.
3. Microscopic analysis for microorganisms and handling of microscope, colony counter, spectrophotometer etc.
4. Instrument handling capabilities including; HPLC, GLC, pH meter, Moisture analyzer
5. Microbial culture maintenance activities including plates and slants preparation for process related microorganisms.
6. Microbial culture record maintenance w.r.t. their generation, cellular activity, morphological changes.
7. Working in multidisciplinary teams (across different functional blocks of the pilot plant).
8. Work as per the given standard operating protocols to maintain the pilot plant discipline and to have a better working culture.
9. Responsible for maintenance of sterile area as per the biological standard procedures.
10. Maintaining housekeeping and other required GMP standard
