Job Description
- Advance vector search and streaming: Oversee initiatives to enhance vector search performance, scalability, and AI integration for use cases such as semantic search, recommendation engines, and NLP. Leverage streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink) to support real-time, low-latency data applications.
- Develop and manage roadmaps: Define and manage detailed project roadmaps and plans for complex initiatives. Clearly outline project requirements, scope, and critical milestones to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Drive program execution: Utilize effective project management methodologies to drive cross-functional teams across engineering, product, research, and customer success. Track everything big and small while maintaining schedules, managing resources, and ensuring progress aligns with strategic goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks: Independently identify risks, manage corrective action plans for deviations, and effectively communicate updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Deliver high-quality experiences: Ensure high-quality standards and consistency for the Oracle customer experience while continuously raising the bar for the organization.
- Maintain stakeholder communication: Provide clear, written, and verbal status updates to senior leadership, while maintaining open communication with all stakeholders to meet timelines and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize processes: Actively partner with Database and Cloud teams to adopt and enhance appropriate processes, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure adherence to established best practices.
- Recommend improvements: Recommend process improvements and serve as an escalation point for project-related questions and issues, driving resolution effectively.
- Create comprehensive documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Foster flexibility and resilience: Adapt to changing or ambiguous situations and direct changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.
- BE in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of industry experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on software development and/or testing experience.
- 6+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
- Proven track record for driving programs across diverse set of teams in a large organization and proven ability to partner across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically. Ability to synthesize disparate information effectively and quickly into clear recommendations, actions, and decisions.
- Experience with one or more project management tools, building and maintaining dashboards, and process engineering.
- Hands-on experience working in Database and cloud computing.
- Strong technical background that enables you to understand the complexities of Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and multi-cloud.
- Experience with managing large programs across multiple geographical locations.
