Lead Quant Researcher

Responsibilities We re looking for a Lead Quantitative Researcher to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you ll develop quantitative investment models that will be used to run systematic Equity, Global Macro, Real Estate and Investment Solution portfolios. The Researcher s primary responsibility will be conducting research in quantitative portfolios. Alpha Research: Support building signals for rules based and systematic asset allocation strategies for various asset types Sourcing of new data: Perform new data source research, data acquisition and onboarding from external vendors Data management: Proper implementation of data models, pipelines, database designs, and ETL principles in partnership with Technology team Data Quality Assurance and Production Model Experience: ensuring information received and delivered is accurate and timely. Partner with Technology team to ensure production code is written efficiently and is run with proper oversight. Portfolio Optimization and Management: Support portfolio optimization and management and work with senior PM and the trade desk to ensure efficient implementation and deliver live attractive performance track record. Thorough understanding of efficient frontiers, relative value analysis Qualifications Who You Are Bachelors, Master s degree or PhD in Statistics, Operation Research, Data Science, Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science with 6-7 years of related experience Professional certifications like CFA, FRM Experience in portfolio optimization, stock selection research in a systematic team Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL and some exposure to cloud environments like AWS Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Quant research experience in stock selection Experience with machine learning algorithms, portfolio optimization techniques Strong organizational, interpersonal, and proven problem-solving abilities Success in this position requires the ability to make effective, well-informed decisions and recommendations in a highly time-sensitive environment Must have a very high level of self-initiative, be able to work independently within a collegial structure, and be comfortable taking risks You enjoy asking research questions, expressing opinions, and actively engaging in internal discussions regarding investment strategy design and implementation
