Job Description
- Understand system requirements, design intent, and comply with applicable design practices, aerospace standards, customer requirements and regulatory requirements.
- Develop product level concept designs and architecture based on product requirements, meticulously evaluating existing designs for reuse.
- Lead the design activities for NPI, technology programs, value engineering and resolve design issues.
- Implement engineering solutions, taking account of critical constraints, including due concern for cost, stress, reliability, and safety.
- Support program and technical reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and mitigate potential issues.
- Facilitate and drive the resolution production issues and field failure investigations.
- Support Bid & Proposal for new products.
- Provide suggestions to improve processes, tools, methods, and products and document the best practice.
- Own and maintain technical processes and standard work.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, develop a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in aerospace hydraulic and electromechanical product design, applying knowledge to enhance projects and processes.
- Actively participate in a team environment and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross functional teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals
- 12 to 16 years of industry experience in mechanical product design for new product development / Technology development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hydraulic and electro-mechanical product design.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and heat treatment processes
- Knowledge of aerospace product compliance, qualification, and certification.
