As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Oversight and Governance, Operational Resilience team, you will be tasked with leveraging your unique skills to enhance and develop architectural platforms using cutting-edge cloud technologies. Your role will also involve advocating for the deployment of strategic global solutions. Your extensive understanding of architecture will be instrumental in working with peers across the company to deliver exceptional outcome
Job responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function s go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on data management concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in Java language
- Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with cloud experience.
- Understanding of Data Architectures and models across operational and analytic use cases (eg, OLTP modeling, Star schema, Low latency analytical)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
- Understanding of the business
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Data Management Practices, including Data Dictionaries & vocabularies, Lineage, Cataloging & registration, logical & physical representations of data, Data Quality
- Data Governance practices, such as evaluating metadata & data, assess for usability, standard definition, publishing standards, drift monitoring
- Focus on forward engineering practices rather than tollgates using development type artifacts / manifests rather than PPT/XLS paperwork
- Data Standards for all data publishing, regardless of operational/analytical, and how that advances the greater good
- Business architecture application methods, including mapping of business capabilities, services, processes to the information and data architecture
