Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to be based in our Ahmedabad office who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounts Department of our African company. The primary role includes leading the accounts team in Africa, ensuring proper financial controls, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Supervision & Leadership (African Operations)

• Lead and manage the Accounts Department of the Overseas company remotely.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and company procedures.

• Design, implement, and maintain internal financial controls.

2. Accounting & Reconciliations

• Oversee daily accounting entries and ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly and resolve discrepancies.

• Perform debtors and creditors reconciliation, ensuring timely follow-ups on outstanding amounts.

• Monitor cash flow and fund management for the Overseas business.

3. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports for management.

• Ensure timely submission of tax returns, VAT, and compliance with Overseas accounting regulations.

• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and financial institutions as needed.

4. Coordination & Process Improvement

• Supervise and support the Overseas team in day-to-day accounting tasks.

• Identify and implement process improvements for better financial control.

• Liaise with the Ahmedabad team and Overseas office for smooth financial operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/Inter CA preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably managing international operations.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar).

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

• Experience in leading an accounting team and working with international financial regulations.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
