Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists and AI engineers, providing guidance, mentorship and support to drive performance and professional growth
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to identify business challenges and opportunities where data science can add value
- Participate in conceptualising, designing and developing AI/ML-based solutions in the life science domain using GenAI, predictive analytics, NLP and computer vision
- Design, develop and deploy advanced analytical models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and optimise processes
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and data preprocessing to prepare datasets for modelling
- Use machine learning, statistical modelling and other advanced analytical techniques to extract actionable insights and make predictions
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for data collection, storage and processing
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning and AI technologies, and evaluate their potential applications to enhance our products and services
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports and visualisations
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and best practices in all data science projects and initiatives
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Bachelors or master s degree in computer science, statistics or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in data science, machine learning or related fields, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions
- Hands on experience in model building, validation and productionising
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, GenAI/LLM, NLP and computer vision
- Experience with big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL) for scalable data processing and analysis
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R and Java
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and computing platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras and PyTorch
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools such as Jira
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
