Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting any changes to the RN.
• Performing basic nursing tasks like hygiene assistance, ambulation support, and meal delivery.
• Implementing aspects of the patient care plan as directed by the RN.
• Monitoring patients for potential complications and responding to emergencies.
• Clinical Skills Development:
• Administering medications under the supervision of an RN, following the "five rights" principle.
• Performing basic wound care and dressing changes
• Obtaining specimens as needed
• Assisting with medical procedures like catheter insertion or blood draws (depending on training and facility policies)
