Production Manager - Spices Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee daily production activities, ensure high-quality standards, and maintain a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of production, from planning and resource allocation to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of spice processing, food manufacturing, packaging, and quality standards. They should also have experience with food production machinery, equipment maintenance, and factory management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Coordination:

• Develop and implement production schedules in line with demand forecasts and business goals.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials.

Stock Maintenance:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure accurate recording and regular auditing of stock to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Team Management:

• Supervise and lead production staff, ensuring training, motivation, and adherence to production targets.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address challenges and improve operational efficiency.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with FSSAI and other regulatory guidelines.
• Implement quality assurance practices and address any quality-related issues promptly.

Process Optimization:

• Identify areas for process improvement to reduce downtime, increase productivity, and minimize waste.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for food safety, hygiene, and manufacturing efficiency.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety:

• Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all production equipment.
• Ensure workplace safety by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and present production performance reports to senior management.
• Analyze production data and recommend strategies for improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the Spices (Masala) industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FSSAI).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional coordination effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
