Drone Trainee

• Participate in classroom and practical training sessions on drone technology, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Learn how to operate different types of drones and become proficient in their flight controls.

Maintenance:

• Assist in drone maintenance tasks, including pre-flight inspections, battery management, and basic repairs.
• Learn to troubleshoot common issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure drone functionality.

Flight Operations:

• Accompany experienced operators on drone missions to gain practical experience.
• Gradually take on more responsibility for flight planning, execution, and data collection.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety protocols and best practices for drone operations.
• Familiarize yourself with local, state, and federal regulations governing drone use.

Data Handling:

• Learn how to capture and process data collected by drones, such as images, videos, or survey data.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of flight logs, maintenance activities, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations.

Equipment Management:

• Assist in managing and organizing drone equipment and accessories.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may require a bachelors degree in a related field).
• Strong interest in drones and their applications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologies and regulations.
• Willingness to obtain necessary licenses or certifications for drone operation

Additional Qualifications (preferred, but not required):

• Previous experience with remote-controlled aircraft or drones.
• Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) or photogrammetry.
• Familiarity with specific drone models or software used in drone operations.
