ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a talented UI Development Engineer with around 5-8 years of experience who is highly motivated, flexible and experienced to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Must have designed and worked in building large scale, responsive, intuitive web applications. Ideal candidate must have good understanding of fronted code and should be able to code the designs supplied by our in-house interaction design team with a fine eye for design details. With a positive, can-do attitude and exploring and discovery drive. The ideal team player should share openly and willingly, communicate constructively and work as a problem-solver. You will work with the UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conversion of interaction designs to web apps with utmost attention to detail as per style guides. Pixel perfection is a key for your success at Arrise.
• Work independently with mockup files and extraction of page element details and individual assets.
• Sit with the development team and look into on the fly fixes during design and code integration.
• Setup, review and continuously improve interactive team processes to define, develop and maintain the deliverables.
• Plan for delivery of modules and projects, get them executed by the team.
• Participate in reviews and give / take constructive feedback.
• Create and maintain software documentation.
• Develop new user-facing features.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application for size, speed and scalability.
• Analytical thinking: Capacity to quickly understand game design rules, mechanics, balancing concepts, and techniques.
• Creativity: think outside the box, being able to see things in a different perspective

KEY SKILLS

• Expert level understanding and experience on HTML5, CSS3, OO JavaScript
• Should have expertise in frameworks like Bootstrap, Material IO and Foundation.
• Proficient on server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SCSS and LESS
• Should be a quality champion of the team
• Strong knowledge of web standards
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Experience working in React ecosystem
• Knack of adhering to best development and design practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT, GITLAB
• Should have a valid Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Lead and groom the team members
• Collaborate with stakeholders from product, project and PMO
• Ownership is at the group of projects level
• Plan and participate in the recruitment process

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with design tools like FIGMA, Photoshop, Illustrator or Sketch
• Experience on Zeplin.
• Texture packer texture concepts (Sprite sheets creation).
• Understanding of UX, UI Design
