Job Description

The Business Development Executive for the Specialty Ingredient Business is responsible for driving
growth and expanding the market presence of the companys specialty ingredient products. This role
involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives to identify and execute new business
opportunities and build strong customer relationships to contribute to the long term growth of the
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities:
Research and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential
areas for growth. Develop strategies to target and acquire new customers, expand the customer
base, and penetrate new markets.
Build and maintain customer relationships:
Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the specialty
ingredient industry. Collaborate with customers to understand their specific needs, provide product
information, and offer tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Sales and revenue generation:
Actively promote and sell specialty ingredients in multiple industry segments like Pharma, Agro,
Cosmetics, Food, Coatings, Water, etc. Develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals
to maximize revenue. Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and make strategic adjustments to
Market analysis and intelligence:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Conduct market
research, analyse customer feedback and gather market intelligence to identify opportunities for
product development or improvement.
Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure
effective coordination and alignment of business objectives. Collaborate with the team to develop
marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and pricing strategies to enhance product visibility and

Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the development of annual business plans and
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in science, business, marketing, or a related field (Masters degree or
Professional degree may have an added advantage).
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the specialty
ingredient industry or a related field (Freshers with good academic record or exceptional
skill sets can also be considered)
Strong knowledge of specialty ingredients, their applications, and the industrys dynamics.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong
Strategic thinking and analytical mindset to identify business opportunities and make data-
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of success.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Knowledge of market research tools and CRM software
will have added advantage)
