Role Purpose:

The main objective of the Senior Software Engineer - Android role is to lead the development of high-quality Android applications for Practo, enhancing the user experience and contributing to the companys mission of simplifying healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for Practo, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the product team to define app features, creating compelling device-specific user interfaces and experiences.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs and improve application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs, integrating them seamlessly into the apps.
• Follow industry best practices in application development, maintain code quality, and conduct code reviews.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven software development experience and Android skills development, with a portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
• Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and dealing with different screen sizes.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.
• Understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Good problem-solving skills, a strong eye for detail, and a team player mindset.
