Job Overview:

Practo is looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale our infrastructure systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure). You will lead infrastructure design and optimization while leveraging technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

- Orchestrate and scale microservices using Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and system uptime.

- Maintain and manage internal developer productivity tools.

- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, optimizing resource usage, cost, performance, security and compliance across environments.

- Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure real-time visibility into infrastructure health and performance.

- Diagnose and resolve system performance issues, bottlenecks, and outages promptly.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform and DevOps engineers.

- Lead by example, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in managing cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).

- Advanced knowledge of Linux-based systems, particularly Ubuntu.

- Extensive experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.

- Proficient in Shell scripting and Python for automation and infrastructure management.

- Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Professional Experience:

- 4 to 8 years of experience in platform engineering, system administration, or infrastructure roles.

- Proven experience in infrastructure system design, cloud architecture, and large-scale deployments.

- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure in cloud environments.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing.
