The PPC Executive/Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the entire production process. The role involves ensuring optimal resource utilization, timely order completion, coordination between departments, and maintaining quality standards while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop production plans based on customer orders and demand forecasts.
- Ensure raw materials, machinery, and labor availability for smooth production.
- Optimize production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
2. Coordination Between Departments:
- Work closely with procurement, inventory, and sales teams to align production with business needs.
- Coordinate with design, dyeing, weaving, knitting, printing, and finishing teams for seamless workflow.
- Ensure timely approvals and communication of production schedules to all stakeholders.
3. Inventory & Material Management:
- Monitor raw material stock levels and ensure timely procurement.
- Work with the supply chain team to minimize material wastage and reduce costs.
- Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory techniques for efficient material flow.
4. Production Monitoring & Control:
- Track and analyze production progress against planned schedules.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize defects.
5. Cost & Efficiency Optimization:
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve productivity.
- Optimize machine utilization, labor efficiency, and energy consumption.
- Reduce production costs while maintaining high-quality output.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain production reports, work order records, and process documentation.
- Analyze production data and generate reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.Tech/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing processes (spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, etc.).
- Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of SAP or other production planning tools.
