Accessibility Tester

• Good knowledge in testing web application and mobile application.           
• Accessibility testing is a type of software testing that ensures that software applications are usable by people with disabilities.

• They should have good knowledge in testing  tools Utilize accessibility testing tools like AXE, AMP, JAWS, NVDA.

JD:

• Knowledge of global accessibility laws and regulations, including ADA, Section 508, and other relevant standards.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 A & AA success criteria, with the ability to apply these during accessibility evaluations.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough accessibility testing of web applications, ensuring compliance with WCAG (2.1/2.2) standards. Candidates will be tested on this during the interview.
• Expert proficiency with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and other commonly used tools.
• Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools such as AXE and AMP to complement manual testing efforts.
• Experience using color contrast analysis tools, such as Color Contrast Analyzer, to evaluate visual accessibility.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, ARIA roles, and basic JavaScript, enabling effective collaboration with development teams.
• Experience tracking, documenting, and reporting accessibility issues in JIRA, with strong follow-up on issue resolution.
• Staying up to date on accessibility best practices, guidelines, and trends in assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex accessibility issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Mobile accessibility testing knowledge is a plus.
