What You Will Do As A Senior Accountant
With limited manager direction, work independently, performing professional accounting activities related to general accounting, revenue recognition, etc.
Reconcile account balances for assigned balance sheet accounts to provide underlying support, and independently research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and process accounting journal entries for assigned accounts within established deadlines. Work with others within Accounting, Finance or across the organization as needed to obtain necessary details behind accounting entries or to resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare assigned flux comments related to the income statement and balance sheet.
Take the initiative to become proficient in the general ledger system and other reporting tools to run trial balances or account details to aid in research or refining processes.
Develop a solid understanding of accounting processes and controls and independently execute assigned tasks.
Prepare financial data as directed and assist with preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Support management with ad hoc requests.
Document procedures as well as update existing procedures.
Partner with internal teams to maintain processes and controls related to assigned areas of work. This includes being a SOX control owner and working with external auditors.
Participate in the annual, quarterly, and monthly process with SOX and internal audit teams.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.
What You Will Bring As A Senior Accountant
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
4+ years work experience, with a proven track record of working in high-performing teams.
Solid understanding of ACS 606 (US GAAP) and/or or IFRS 15.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to allow comprehensive understanding of the areas of responsibility and related US GAAP treatment.
Prior NetSuite and FloQast experience a plus.
Proven experience working with US based business teams
Excellent written and communication skills in English
Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST)
