Position: Sr. Embedded Product Validation Engineer

Department: R&D

Academic Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in ECE

Professional Qualification:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in validating embedded systems and products to ensure they meet the specified requirements for performance, quality, and reliability. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to verify and validate embedded systems in various stages of the product lifecycle ensuring the final product meets customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibility:

• Lead the validation of embedded products, including testing of hardware and software integration, performance, and stress testing.
• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and validation strategies for embedded systems, ensuring comprehensive coverage across hardware, software, and firmware components.
• Perform root cause analysis for test failures, identify and document defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand product design specifications and implement effective testing strategies.
• Execute functional, performance, and stability tests on embedded products.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of product validation documentation, including test reports, logs, and defect tracking.
• Review product requirements and specifications to ensure that products are validated against customer and industry standards.
• Work on debugging and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and hardware/software issues.
• Continuously improve validation processes and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, safety standards) and internal quality processes.

Competency Criteria:

• Experience in embedded systems validation, including hardware and software integration.
• Proficient in embedded systems, microcontrollers,and hardware/software interfaces.
• Strong experience with embedded software development and testing using C/C++, or other relevant languages.
• Experience with hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and software debugging tools (e.g. JTAG, ST Link).
• Strong knowledge of validation processes, methodologies, and best practices for embedded products.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C,Modbus, Ethernet).
• Experience with test case development, execution, and reporting.
