Senior System Administrator (DevOps AWS)

Job Description: We are looking for a seasoned Senior System Administrator with a strong background in DevOps to architect, implement, and maintain our podcasting software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless, secure, and efficient digital environment for both our production and development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable infrastructure for PodUp's podcasting platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand deployment requirements and implement effective DevOps solutions.
• Ensure the security, availability, and optimal performance of all operational environments.
• Provide system administration support for applications across Linux OS, Nginx, Node.js, MySQL, etc.
• Develop and optimize continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated updates and seamless deployments.
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, application, and deployment issues.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.
• Proficiency in scripting and administration of Linux, Nginx, NodeJS, PHP applications, and networks.
• Extensive expertise in cloud computing platforms, especially AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Load Balancers, Route53, ACM, caching mechanisms, SES, SNS, and CloudWatch.
• Strong automation skills using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experienced in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as AWS CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with performance analysis and optimization using monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS certification(s) would be a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
